My Dear Teacher

I enclose you an articleEditorial Note: The May 11, 1885 issue of the New York Sun contained an article entitled “Attacking the Mind-Cure,” which summarized a discussion by Congregational clergymen. In particular, there were comments made by Rev. C. B. Rice and Rev. Mr. Mathews against those practicing Christian Science. This may be the article being referenced here. taken from a New York paper. Is it not possible to stop such wicked reports; can not such men as Mr Rice & Mr Mathew [*]Gap: letters.Reason: cut off. be made to retract such lies.

I was told to day by a friend of Prof Townsend that his wife is very low in belief with nervous prostration caused by miscarriage and he positively refuses to try any treatment but allopathy

Kindly Yours
H.P. Bailey
