Laura C. Townsend (1846-1917) was born in Sandwich, New Hampshire, and died in Brookline, Massachusetts. She was the wife of L. T. (Luther Tracy) Townsend, a clergyman and professor who published a series of articles criticizing Christian Science and Mary Baker Eddy in 1885.
