Dear Madam

I have taken the liberty to write to you and earnestly hope it will be convenient for you to answer.

I learned the Christian Science treatment last Sept- of Mrs A. M. Knott - Detroit - MichiganAs Written:Mich -

She learned it of the ShermansEditorial Note: Bradford Sherman, Martha Sherman and Roger Sherman in Chicago and they of you

I learned it so to be able to treat my son, he is threatened with consumptionEditorial Note: tuberculosis one year ago last Oct he had Diphtheria in the malignant form it left him with a cough and by spring was getting worse and worse, The best Doctors were employed and not one could give me any encouragement but all said he could not live two months

My sister in Detroit wrote me about the success Mrs Knott was having - She was very anxious I should have him treated I did so - and he was soon well enough to go there to be treated (a distance of one hundred & forty miles) Mrs Knott thought I better learn the treatment as his case is a severe one and would take a long time to cure him - but what I cannot overcome is his cough he does not cough as much but still it is there - he gets bilious very often -

How much would you charge me to give him a few treatments - he is nineteen yearsAs Written:yrs old and growing fast and somethingAs Written:some thing must be done soon - he is the only child I have got and it seems as if he must be spared to me

I have the two Vol'sEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and study them also take the Journal what is the next best thing for me to study if there is anythingAs Written:any thing - I have treated several here with success

Hoping you will answer this I remain Yours in truth
