Mrs Fuller I began treating the second Monday after our return. I took her up in thought twice each day for one week once since till yesterday I told her she was so well She must help herself. Mr Fuller talked sharp to me. Saying you took her. and I told you not to dare bring her home ill. I told him I never took that responsibility and never promised him that. And I should not shoulder the responsibility of her illness. A lady in his presence asked me what I charged for treatment

Mr Fuller spoke up and said their As Written: there metaphysicians have got to take care of one an other for nothing. And he I think expects me to take care of his wife. Well if they ask me again and again I will do all I can and will pity them too. I am not doing work for remuneration now. My dear aunt and her family have nothing to pay only thankful hearts. I have given all my time freely so far. And if I may only be acceptable in the sight of God is all I ask. For a time. I am now shall not ask any thing treating the Methodist ministers wife She has a complication of beliefs. My father who has disinherited me. and whose unkindness I may truthfully say was one cause of my darling precious mothers death. In seventeen years As Written: yeas yes eighteen years his Shadow has not darkened my door. he has never addressed me as his child. and now at seventy four he sends to ask me to help him out of his suffering. And without seeing his face or hearing his voice I am looking up to God for him

Facts are indeed stranger than fiction. I was asked to take one of our leading business men. but he wished to come here after dark and did not wish it known that he was being treated by me. I sent him word that I could not take him in that way –
