John Williams (c.1843-1910) was born in Llanelly, Wales, and died in
Columbus, Wisconsin. He emigrated to the United States in about 1860, settling briefly
in Adrian, Michigan. In about 1861, he moved to Columbus, where he set up in business as
a druggist. Williams was the husband of Mattie Williams, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's
and a healer in Columbus. There is no record of him studying with Mary Baker Eddy or
uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
