Some ten days ago I wrote to youEditorial Note: See 582.60.008. from St. Stephen N. B.Editorial Note: St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada relative to entering one of your classes.

Your reply not having as yet reached me, & having now returned to my home it occurs to me that perhaps I ought to have given you references as to my standing.

Would therefore name Wm R. M. Hook- of 205 West Springfield street- BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts, as one who has known me many years. Also Mrs. Hook, his wife, who is a distant relative of mine –

Mr. Hook is a deacon in Warren Av. Baptist ChurchAs Written:Ch. (Rev. Mr. Giffords–)

Am also somewhat acquainted with Rev. Prof. Steinstra– of Cambridge divinity school- (He is now visiting in Robbinston - Maine)

The Bishop of Maine, (Dr. H. A. NeelyEditorial Note: Henry A. Neely (1830-1899) was the second Episcopal Bishop of Maine., Portland) or any of his clergy might be named, & my name etc. will be found in any clergy listAs Written:clergylist of the ProtestantAs Written:Pront. Episcopal Church.

I trust you may be able to place me on your list, if As Written: of not at once, at least, in a future class– though it would be a great convenience if it could be in September, for I could then take a vacation most easily –
