Please pardon the use of pencil? In the latter part of Sept. I called at your rooms- placed in your hands a letter from Miss Clark of Jamestown New YorkAs Written:N.yY.New York - to me in relation to my taking a Course of instruction of Mrs. Eddy-

In July and Aug. I sent three lettersEditorial Note: These letters are not extant. to Mr. Frye and Mrs. E. fully intending to become a member of the Sept Class- but I utterly failed to learn when the Class would open In fact, receivedAs Written:rec'd only the printed Circular in reply to letter written 1st of July – hence made the great mistake of making a trip to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts- to learn the fact that I was one week late for the Class in "Mental Healing"- And twas such a disappointment. A friend of this place, Mrs. Sanford, who went with me to study also - has been writing either Mr. Frye or Mrs. E-Editorial Note: See 709AP2.84.008. and receives no reply- We want to join the Jan. Class- but do not want to go on uncertainties again - I enclose a letter of Mrs. Eddy's- and am going to ask you to see Mrs. E- for me - show her the enclosed - and learn just when the Jan Term opens- also if the Tuition is still $30000Editorial Note: $300.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $10,005.81 in 2024. instead of $20000Editorial Note: $200.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $6,670.54 in 2024. as her Journal Announced- Is this asking a good deal?
