Dear Mother.

I received the WatchEditorial Note: See L02083. formerly As Written: formally belonging to FatherEditorial Note: George Washington Glover (c. 1818-1844) or Asa Gilbert Eddy. Mary Baker Eddy in letters to her son referred to his step father, Asa Gilbert Eddy, as “your Father.” See L02081, L02095, and L02082., it came through safe excepting the Crystal was broken, I was much pleased to get it. but would have been more so, if you had expressed yourself along with it. I received a letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. from Mr Calvin. A. Frye, written in connection with your Business heading. who is this gentleman Mr Frye. I do not seem to recollect As Written: recolect him by name.

however, you can thank him for me, and can tell him I received his letter in due time, I have not much news to write, Mining-Stocks took a fall. Iron-HillEditorial Note: Iron Hill Mining Company that was paying a dividend of 5% monthly on her stock. fell from 9.00 to 2.50 in one day. there was no reason why it should fall. except that the Stock men were speculating. and Beared the Stock. to their own selfish ends.

Mining business generally is looking a great deal better than any summer before. Since I have been in the Hills.

I saw in a Paper. that you was building or about to build a Church at the Highlands. have you got it completed, what is Mr Orne doing, has he any notion of coming out west next spring, is Mr & Mrs Choate still practicing physicians As Written: physians in the Metaphysicial line.
