Asa Gilbert Eddy

when they married on January 1, 1877. He was originally a sewing machine salesman but
became dedicated to Christian Science. He was the first of Mary Baker Eddy's students to
announce himself publicly as a Christian Scientist and devoted himself to helping her in
her work.
