Dear Sir,

I called at 8. Broad St found Mrs. Farrar had gone to Boston and saw no one I knew.

Thinking the matter over I have concluded to wait until Nov. 2ndAs Written:2ond and then if he has not paid me you will please give him notice summarily to pay all up to that date. His last payment was up to Sept. 15th I have written his wife a kind letter showing her the need I have of the money, and also, how squarely I have dealt with him even as I do with all, letting him change from remitting through a Post office order to a bank check, but he cheated As Written: cheatted me on that, Then he asked to pay the middle of the month and I consented by letting him do it, then he paid but once promptly and that by sending [?] Unclear or illegible  Lynn after it and this month takes no notice [?] Unclear or illegible  Usual of the payday or my bill of the rent.

I would not trouble you with searching the records at SalemEditorial Note: Salem, Massachusetts

But when you are there if you will bring my Deed with you and keep it until I call for it you will oblige

Yours truly
