Frank P. Farrar (1839-1927) was born in Saugus, Massachusetts, and died
in Hanover, Massachusetts. Farrar was a tack and nail maker who leased Mary Baker Eddy's
home at 8 Broad Street in Lynn, Massachusetts, from August 1883 until June 1885. Farrar
lived at 8 Broad Street with his wife, Martha E. Farrar. The Farrars regularly missed
rental payments and Eddy brought a suit against Frank P. Farrar on July 18, 1885, in
Lynn Police Court, to collect rent for March, April, and May of 1885. Eddy was
successful and court officers recovered the debt on her behalf.
