I feel that I am presumptuousAs Written:presumptious in writing this to you, and so, before you read it ask you to forgive me for troubling you.
I am very anxious to study Christian Science with you, but do not see how I can do so, for a long time, at least, unless I can do something at the same time to pay my expensesAs Written:expences. I thought it possible that you might have work for which you would need help, either now or later. If you could give me the chance I should be glad to do almost anything to partly pay you for the course of study. I have heard of you very often from Mr Childs before he studied with you and since; and from Dr Stone. I will not ask either these gentlemen to see you on my behalf for unless I could be useful I should not wish you to be influenced by your friendship for them
I will not trouble you with a long letter, but if you think you can help me I will write any particulars you wish to know.
