Having been informed by Miss Minnie B. Hall, of DenverEditorial Note: Denver, Colorado, that my name had been entered for your next Normal Class– and also that my husband, M. C. Spaulding, had been most kindly invited to attend– I write to ask that you send me a confirmatory "yes", in order that we may arrange to be there when the Class-meeting notice is received.
It is perfectly marvelous how great and good is the work which the indefatigable Mrs Hall and her enthusiastic daughter have accomplished in the far West.
Their progress seems like a grand missionary movement or rather, a tidal wave of true Christianity confronting the Rocky Mountains of Error.
[*]Archival Note: The following text is crossed out. We have met many of your Students and all of them without exception (speak in the highest terms of endearment of their inspired teacher)- but the sweetest terms of affection we have heard, come from Miss Minnie Hall.
As to ourselves,[*]Archival Note: End crossed out text. (we have not words to express, in this brief letter, our indebtedness to the Author of Science and HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
The Author of that work needs no other Monument.
"Serus in Caelum As Written: Coelum redeas."Editorial Note: This is a Latin phrase meaning “May it be long before you return to heaven; long life to you.”)
