My beloved Teacher,

I only saw you at a distance while you were in ChicagoEditorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy gave a speech at Central Music Hall in Chicago, Illinois, on June 13, 1888.. but My love and sympathy went out to you- I am convinced it will all come out right, It has to you know!

I consoled myself and some others, who were mourning that they did not see you only in public- that if they were a little off - you would send for them- as it was, they were trusted to look after themselves, see! I am intending to stay here till Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. revives. thoughAs Written:tho. I am so sorely tempted to go to easier fields. and leave Miss Clark- to carry it on alone- they are a very sweet-naturedAs Written:sweet natured people here. but conservative. It seems easy to heal them, but not easy to create any interest, - a very singular state. of mind in regard to C. S. The cures have been so very slow. heretofore, - One expression of a Chicago Scientist has rung the changes in my mind ever since I came back, when asked for a rule for quick healing the answerAs Written:ans. was "Be ye also perfect."Matt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. I knew it before- but thought maybe there was an easier way.

Take courage- My dear Mrs Eddy you did great good by your coming to Chicago- and it will all be right in BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts, "Having loved His own, He will love them to the end."John 13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
