Orrilla W. Day (1833-1907) was born in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, and died
in River Forest, Illinois. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the
Primary (1886) and Obstetrical (1888) classes. She joined the Christian Scientist
Association on April 7, 1886. On June 30, 1894, she joined The First Church of
Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and was a member until her passing. Day was
a Christian Science practitioner and teacher listed in the directory of
The Christian Science Journal from 1888 until 1907. She contributed to the
early growth of Christian Science in Chicago and was a member of First Church of Christ,
Scientist, Chicago.
