Dear Student,

Come and hear me tomorrow. I know not what I shall say only that it will be divine scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science since this is my sure ground and all that I understand. I feel a great outflowing of love that must reach some weary one to comfort and point the way

I have talked with you of the "way" and have told all, and shown you it is purity for I know that having learned it and walked sacredly in it. But just as some misjudges scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science in all things few believe it, or could see the life of Jesus, namely, that it was love spiritual and not carnal that governed it, hence, they called him a glutton & winebiber,Luke 7:34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! and said he was born in fornication. The purest and most Christlike life will be so spoken of. This is to drink his cupMatt 20:20 ¶Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. Matt 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. Matt 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. Matt 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. in very deed. But this is our prayer "Father forgive, they know not what they do"Luke 23:34 ¶Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. The "carnal mind cannot discern spiritual things"I Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. , until educated out of the false sense of personality
