My dear Mr Wickersham and faithful Student:. –

It is not that I do not enjoy very much to get your letters, and would be so glad to answer them at once, but for the simple reason that I have only 24 hours in which to do it, and one thousand (1000) people writing to me! Now do you not see that I cannot write often?
