George B. Wickersham (1850-1915) was born in West Liberty, Ohio, and died
in Denver, Colorado. He was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the Primary class
(1884), Normal class (1886), and Obstetrical course (1887). He joined the Christian
Scientist Association and Church of Christ (Scientist) in 1886, and, in April 1893,
joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1887, he chartered The Denver
Academy of Christian Science, where he taught and practiced. He later became a Christian
Science practitioner and teacher listed in the directory of
The Christian Science Journal and served in
those capacities until his passing.
