George B. Wickersham (1850-1915) was born in West Liberty, Ohio, and died
in Denver, Colorado. He was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the Primary class
(1884), Normal class (1886), and Obstetrical course (1887). He joined the Christian
Scientist Association and Church of Christ (Scientist) in 1886, and, in April 1893,
joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1887, he
chartered The Denver Academy of Christian Science, where he taught and practiced. He
later became a Christian Science practitioner and teacher listed in the directory of
The Christian Science
Journal and served in those capacities until his passing.
