My very dear Students

I did not forget you although I received no letter during Holidays from you.

I did not in the least feel that I was forgotten by you; and thanked our one Love and Wisdom for the growth by which you are mastering human dependence and gaining a truer and diviner sense of Life and what belongs to the demonstration of Christian Science.

Know this, that a Mother's love encourages self dependence and trust in God. It we ans her child when it is old enough to be taken from her bosom. It would not be love that would keep her child a lifelong suckling! All these things, like Mary of old, I "ponder in my heart"Luke 2:19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. , and try to do by my students as I would have them do by meMatt 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. . Try to promote their happiness in ways that they do not see, for if they did they would not cry because I throw them, after long years, upon their own responsibility and leave them there with God to direct them as surely He will if they lean on Him, but not otherwise. My students might go on 50 years and never know by experience what they can learn from it, and cannot learn without it if when they are perplexed they sh ould have me tell them just what God means, and what they should do.

Now dear ones, I close, and hope you will teach others this very lesson, and especially now that I have given you the revised edition of Science and HealthEditorial Note: This is a reference to the fiftieth edition of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. that can lead you into all TruthJohn 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

As ever with much love
