Manuscript Description: Handwritten by Mary Baker Eddy with a notation in the handwriting of Asa Gilbert Eddy.
Archival Note: On January 21, 1882, Mary Baker Eddy and her husband, Asa Gilbert Eddy, left Massachusetts for a trip to Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, returning on April 4, 1882. On January 20, a meeting of members of the Church of Christ (Scientist) was held at which a letter of farewell and admonition by Eddy (L00001) was read to them. In addition, this poem by Eddy (L00002) was probably read at the same meeting. An earlier draft of the same poem (A10039) also exists, but is shorter than L00002 and differs from it in some ways.
