My son Mr C H wrote Mrs Eddy soliciting her adv (for the denominational papers, and magazines), of her book or books, and perhaps a word of explanation is due from me.

My remarks on what I had found afloat outside Chicago called Christian Science has evidently led to this thought and the more I think about it the more it grows upon me this might counteract the great evil

You know how the denominational papers are read everywhere As Written: every where at the present day and thinking people have heard of C S why not put the Founder's As Written: Founders name and works before their eyes. When I was north I found such earnest people reading Miss Lord's As Written: Lords lectures As Written: Lecturs and Tracts and Schwarts, thinking they had Christian Science

So far as I showed As Written: shewed them the difference they gladly accepted Mrs Eddy's As Written: Eddys works and she has some brave advocates up there, But how few in comparison to the number who are looking for "better health and better religion".

I met As Written: net a lady at Chautauqua from New Orleans who said they had Metaphysics there but did not know of "Science and Health"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, or Mrs Eddy

We in scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science hardly realize the darkness outside As Written: out side unless we move around As Written: arround a little, and then it looks so formidable to reach so many I fear we sit down and fold our hands too willingly While my son has undertaken this work as a business, I think a love for the cause inspired him, for he has trusted me in severe illness and silently listens As Written: listenes to a great deal on the subject

I was disappointed in not coming to the September class but hope to come to the next Primary

You may send one doz each of "Science and Health," "Unity of Good," "Yes and No" and "R & R" and I will remit as before. I find I could put them in the hands of people when perhaps they will not find it convenient to call on Mr Parsons.

Our hearts are always with you all in Boston and while we know that Intelligence is One yet it is unfolded with you in copious Showers, and the thirsty are looking

toward the cloud. In Truth
