Charles H. Hanson (1867-1958) was born in Chicago, Illinois, and died in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He married Cora B. Hanson (b. Dooley) in Chicago in 1898 and was employed first as jobbing salesman in the publishing industry and later as a sales manager of a spice importing firm. Charles and Cora both joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 3, 1899, and Cora was listed as a practitioner in the directory of The Christian Science Journal from 1901 through 1905. Charles was the son of Adelia "Delia" C. Hanson (b. Perry), who was a student of Mary Baker Eddy and a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science. His sisters, Josephine Nellis Hanson and Clara Hammersmith (b. Hanson) were also practitioners of Christian Science. Charles and Cora divorced around 1920 and Charles married Anna L. Murphy (b. White) in 1923. They moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1939 and lived there for the remainder of their lives.
