I trust you will pardon me, if I have done wrong by writing to you; but I thought it best.

I have patients in AuburnEditorial Note: Auburn, Maine, and Mrs. Poole has gone down there, and told that Mrs. Eddy's students never charge for absent treatment, have I been misinformed? They told me, they charged five dollarsEditorial Note: $5.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $155.67 in 2022. a week.

Mrs. Poole is trying her best to stop me from treating, she is here to follow me, and make me out different than I am. Will you please write me at once, and let me know about absent treatment, so I can convince my patients I have told the truth. I hope you will remember me at the College, for I am trying to heal as my teacher taught me. Give my love to her.
