Miss M. A. Fletcher and I have come here from ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois for the purpose of receiving instructions from you in Christian Science. I have been boarding with Miss Fletchers mother during past four years, and Miss Fletcher has given very much of her time in giving Bible Readings without any remuneration whatever. She was requested to visit the Mother and Daughter of a gentleman who manifested his appreciation by defraying her expenses here, as she is financially unable, even to pay her travelling expenses or to remain here any great length of time.

If she could see you, and you her, I think your wisdom and experience would suggest whether it would be proper for her to join the Normal Class, as regards myself I feel more anxious that Miss Fletcher realize some spiritual profit, and Scientific instruction for the effort she has made to come here, even if I am compelled to return to Chicago without having realized the object of my visit to Boston.

I was with Dr Morrill in his office in Chicago six Months some two years since, and have carefully read your booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy some two or three times, and also received instruction in class from one of your pupils. I intend to devote my entire life to the reception, and practice of Christian Science, and am satisfied to accept of any suggestions you may be kindly disposed to offer me in the premises.

I shall remain in the CityEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts until I receive some definite response to this communication.

Gratefully Yours in the Truth of Life
