C. F. Morrill (c.1842-1916) was born in Hallowell, Maine, and died in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in May 1884 in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly after studying, he founded a healing practice in Chicago. In 1886, he moved to Minneapolis and began working for Tappen & McKillop, a collection agency.
