Dear Madam—

Through the kindness of a friend I have in my possession your books “Science & Health”Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. They are wonderful.

I am anxious to know more about this scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science & have met Mr. & Mrs. ShermanEditorial Note: Bradford Sherman and Martha E. Sherman of Chicago

I want your opinion with regard to Mr Sherman’s ability to teach this scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science.

I have been in ill health for years, & am fully convinced that drugs will never cure me. I must understand this scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science if I have the ability to comprehend it.

I have taken a few treatments of Mrs Sherman & feel I am already benefited: but should I take this up as a study I want the best teacher I can get. Is Mr Sherman good? Please let me know your terms, length of time required at the College to understand in some degree this scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science.

My husband left me for a higher life last March & I am anxious to make my life useful and it seems to me this is just the way.

May I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience?
