Dear Doctor

I have recently learned of your system of practiceEditorial Note: Christian Science and am very much interested therein. For many years I have believed that there is a law by which sick people (?) may be made well again without the use or influence of drug medication. In my practice I have frequently witnessed the patient “recover” on “Blanks” (Sac Lac)Editorial Note: Sac Lac, also known as Saccharum lactis or milk sugar, is often used as a vehicle for dispensing homeopathic remedies because it is considered to be a largely inert substance. faithfully given as I directed and especially when I assured the nurse on the most positive terms that she would improve within twenty-two As Written: twenty two hours after taking the first dose. In such cases I usually insist that the medicine shall be given at some precise time of the day say at two o’clock As Written: oclock exactly. In such cases too I am very particular in specifying the exact number of small pellets to be given and to have that number given and no other. The next day when I call the nurse will usually greet me with, - Doctor do you remember what the remedy was you left for me to give the patient at 2 o’clock As Written: oclock . Why Doctor it was not ten minutes after I gave her those seven little pills as you directed it was not ten minutes before she told me she was feeling as well as she ever did. I have witnessed such results repeatedly in my practice and I have long since come to the conclusion that it was some other influence which healed the patient and not the Sac LacEditorial Note: Sac Lac, also known as Saccharum lactis or milk sugar, is often used as a vehicle for dispensing homeopathic remedies because it is considered to be a largely inert substance.. I practice Homeopathy and though I say it for myself I believe I am very successful. Now Doctor while I am very much interested in every new enterprise I wish to know it is founded on truth and right principles. – Do you pretend to cure all kinds of diseases by your systemEditorial Note: Christian Science or is it confined to chronic cases.

What would you do if called to a case of Malignant Diphtheria As Written: Dipthera or Scarlatina As Written: Scarletina and find the child delirious, the tonsils so badly swollen that breathing has almost ceased so much so that he is almost black in the face from a sluggish circulation and suffocation As Written: suffication . Will your systemEditorial Note: Christian Science successfully reach such cases? or shall we be obliged to resort to “little pills” to relieve this case? I commenced with Allopathy, - later took Homeopathy using “low potencies” but now use High Potencies almost altogether. If you have anything As Written: any thing still better I want it and finding it to be truth I will champion its principles in this locality and bring it before the HomeopathyAs Written:Hom.
