I procured your book on "Science and Health"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy a few days ago, and am giving it a careful reading. Through it, I hope that I may be considered as sufficiently introduced to you to be permitted to ask a kindness at your hands.
Will you please give me the name and address of the most, or one of the most successful Christian Scientists in healing. Permit me to state the case that you may judge the better how to advise me.
My son had an attack of meningitis in May of 1885. Was thought to be dangerously ill - confined to his bed two weeks - then up about his room for some days - and at the end of a month able to resume his professional duties. He went to bed with a very heavy suit of hair – on his recovery, it began to gradually fall out, until now it has receded As Written: receeded from his forehead two or more inches, and is quite thin over his entire head. We have tried in many ways to coax it back recently - did nothing at first, thinking a new suit of hair would come. but there is no sign of a renewal, and it now seems as if he will be prematurely bald. He is 29 yearsAs Written:yrs. old - single - habits always been temperate – occasionally smokes cigars.
Think you that Christian Science can do any good toward restoring his hair? And to which of your students had I best apply?
Could it be accomplished through written communications?
An early reply will very greatly oblige,
