I was treated by Mrs. Manley and have thought some of studying with her but I know no one can teach as you can and I would rather learn of you. I am thankful for what I have learned and think it is just what I needed. I had always lived in fear. Sometimes I think I must leave everything and study then I think I cannot at present and try to be patient but when I see my friends suffering it is hard to wait. Do you think I could learn? I would like to be able to help others. I know what you teach would be more to me than the price you ask but as I have only what I save myself could not pay it. I am earning what I can but after doing my house-work do not earn much. I believe you make a reduction sometimes and I want to ask if you are willing to for me and how much shall I have to pay? I shall try to study as soon as possible. I will enclose As Written: inclose ten centsEditorial Note: $0.10 in 1885 is the equivalent of $2.64 in 2019. for Historical Sketch of Metaphysical healing.

Respectfully Yours
