Whereas the holder of this letter Miss Mary E. Clements has been a member - worthy and beloved– of the Second CongregationalAs Written:Congl Church of Westbrook Maine for several years, and has desired dismissal and recommendation therefrom to the Church of Christ, /Scientist/ in Boston: this letter is, by vote of the Church given to certify the confidence and esteem with which the Church has ever regarded, and does regard. her Christian character and purpose.

While in compliance with her desire, her name will be removed from our list of membership we understand this certificate to have no significance beyond that of affectionate witness to her personal character.
