Mary E. Clements (1857-1912) was born and died in Cumberland County,
Maine. She worked as a teacher. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the
Primary class in September 1885. In 1885, Harlan P. Murch wrote her a letter of
recommendation and dismissal from the Second Congregational Church of Westbrook, Maine,
to the Church of Christ (Scientist). However, there is no record of Clements joining The
First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
