Dear Friend As Written: Frind

I have little hope that these words will ever reach you directly but this does not deter me from writing to you.

Having lately been in Iowa where As Written: wher I met Mr & Mrs Packard and also Mr & Mrs Trahn who especially helped me- the idea came to write you and thank you for Truth received through them. For two years I have been a Truth-seeker in Christian Science– been in a Class- where I learned enough to get much good yet to feel baffled & disappointedAs Written:disapointed

Have read a few things but nothing appeared clear- was told your books were hard to understand I do not find it so when I put all preconceivedAs Written:pre-conceived thought away and simply Seek Truth- Have been a professed As Written: proffessed Christian all my life - given much time to Foreign missionary work. Woman's As Written: Womans Christian Temperance Union et ceteraAs Written:&C Intended once to go myselfAs Written:my self to some foreign land as a missionary– yet I was full of unrest– My spirit went out on an eager- ceaselessAs Written:ceasless - quest for Peace - peace - peace - My best beloved slipped away from As Written: frome me one by one– Lost I Said– My faith in doctors went too. leaving me adrift every way. When [?] Unclear or illegible  the Truth you teach first dawned upon my mind It was like an electric shock. All the D. D.s in the universe could never hush me to sleep again- The more they hushed the wider awake I became.

When the way clears so I can see- I intend to come into your Class. Should be more than glad to immediately– but it appears to be impossible– The whole world needs this precious Truth and so few to speak it

After years of struggle & gloom discord & agony beyond telling I am listening to a thousand-voicedAs Written:thousand voiced Jubilata– day and night all I have to do- is pause and listen.- I can only say without expectation of reply- I did so much desire to send my little word from far-off Minnesota in testimony of Good-
