My dear Mrs. Eddy,

Some time ago, my parishioner and your pupil, Mrs. Jones, of this city brought me the two volumes of your "Science & Health"Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy which you so kindly sent me. I have been so very busy (and can only use my eyes in mornings) that I have not yet read the books as carefully as I will.

Still I have read enough to see that I can heartily accept much you say and as heartily dissent from many declarations.

I rejoice, however, in the direction of your thought - towards God, the Infinite Mind - towards a true Spirituality.

I am the pastor of the First Universalist Church of this city.
