Lately I have read of the Christian ScientistsAs Written:Scientist of BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts & of you as their leader. I earnestly desire to know something of the system of healingEditorial Note: Christian Science, I write to you humbly hoping you may feel inclined to answer my inquiries. I have a little grand-daughter lame from infantile paralysisEditorial Note: Poliomyelitis (Polio). She is now eight years old, do you think it possible that she might be benefitted or cured. If I had the means I would take her to Boston. I took her to Dr C. F. Taylor in New York but was forced to give up the treatment on account of the expense of the trip. Are such cases cured?

Could I learn your system of healingEditorial Note: Christian Science. I am 48 years old is that too late to begin to learn. I will be so thankful if you will write to me and give me the desired information.

I send this letter without knowing your address, as you are so widely known I trust it may reach you. If you would send me a copy of the Christian ScientistEditorial Note: This is probably a reference to Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy or to The Christian Science Journal. I would be most thankful.

Very truly yours,
Mrs. Sarah F. Alston
