Dear Mrs. Eddy;

It is, perhaps, somewhat early to trouble you about your next class, but I am so anxious to study with you, and the next opportunity being the only one I will be able to avail myself of, I am anxious to know when you intend beginning it, so as to enable me to make arrangements with my employer – the Rev. Dr. Huntington – before he leaves the City to attend the Convention at ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois.

If you will kindly let me know when your class will begin, and if I may make one of the number, I will be greatly obliged to you.

I regret to say – for the sake of the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science, as well as my own – I will have to be classed among those students called "indigent." If I may share the kind advantage extended to them, and be received in the class at $100.00Editorial Note: $100.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $3,241.51 in 2023. discount, I will be very grateful.,

I have now about $180.00Editorial Note: $180.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $5,834.72 in 2023. which I have been a whole year saving, with the hope of studying with you. However, if I have the good fortune to come to Boston next month, we can arrange that better in a short conversation.

Trusting that the All Good will grant me that coveted blessing,
I am
Very respectfully
Anna Crawford.
