Anna C. Thew (b. Crawford) (c. 1849-1915) was born in New York, New York, and died in Lake Placid, New York. She married Gilmore E. Thew, a civil engineer, in New York in 1897. She was a member of the Episcopal Church, and worked as a parish visitor at Grace Church, New York. Thew was a student of J. Allen Campbell's before becoming a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing her Normal class in February 1887. The next month, she became a member of the Christian Scientist Association and then a member of the National Christian Scientist Association in April. Thew joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 4, 1898. She was listed in the directory of The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science practitioner in New York from 1909 until her death.
