When I last saw you you told me not to write to you until I wrote from the West but I must write just a few words to wish you a happy New Year and to tell you how delighted I am with one of my Christmas presents; It is a crayon of you like Mrs. Crosse's Mr. Jones admires subject and artist.

One morning Mr. Jones stood looking at it and I said what do you think of the woman; he replied As Written: replyed does she look like that? I said yes As Written: yess just like it; then I say she is a lovely woman. I think he is as pleased with it as I am. I will send you a synopsis of one of Mr. Gardener's sermons. I was not there that morning but one who was said he said he knew that there were present at that time in that house who were following after the Christian Science spoken of,

There is a great difference in opinion about what he means; some think he is for or in favor of Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. others that it was it he was condemning As Written: condeming as he said in that sermon he knew those referred to were there then. It is very clear to my mind that whatever his real convictions are with regard to Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. that he meant to convey the idea to others that it was meant As Written: ment for us. I have given up my seat there and when I can I am going to join the Church of Christ With your permission,

The question comes to me now since I have left there to whom shall I go shall As Written: shal I preach for myself? Mrs. Eddy I am more and still more convinced all the time that there is little to do but destroy a belief of Animal magnetism and I feel today as if there is much less than there was two days ago. I am still hoping to go away.

Please accept this little New Year's As Written: Years gift and my wishes for a happy day and many more. I don't As Written: dont like to ask you to write to me but I should be so pleased with one word

Lovingly yours in Truth
H. D. Jones
