Frederick M. Gardner (1858-1927) was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and died in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He was a Baptist clergyman who graduated from Colby College (1881) and Newton Theological Seminary (1884). Gardner was ordained in 1883 and afterwards ministered at several churches, including Second Baptist Church, Lawrence, Massachusetts, and South Baptist Church, Boston, Massachusetts.
