Dear Mrs: Eddy.

I suppose you have forgotten about me entirely, my parent, D. B. Hoyt, wrote to you January lastEditorial Note: See 493.55.012., and then I wrote once or twiceEditorial Note: See 493.55.013. after that, and after a while, we had a letter from you, and you said to write again, since then, I have had a felon on the second finger of my left hand, walked the floor every night for nearly a week, say nothing of the days, and it hurts me very much to walk, in the lower part of the bowels. It is nearly two years, since I first commenced ailing. Have been doctoring until As Written: untill we wrote to you, and haven’t been since. The first part of my sickness, I couldn't walk at all hardly, only with help, and by chairs and tables. The doctors As Written: doctor's called it stricture of the womb, others, misplacement, and so on, so we don’t know what it is. I can walk a good deal better now, but have to stop a little every step, my bowels bloat, dreadful sore, and when I walk, they feel as though they were being pulled right out of me, so when I sit down, I feel so tired, and worn out, no matter if it is only two or three steps.

My bowels are very much constipated, have been all the time. When I make water, that will hurt me, such a worn, sore, feeling. I have eruptions some out on my face, catarrh very bad, these hard incrustations, three or four times a week. I sleep better nights than I used to, and I am glad of that, I have headache, nearly always, the left side of head. I am very nervous. I suffer very severely at my monthly sicknessEditorial Note: menstruation, and don’t As Written: dont flow very good. I am very fleshy, for my age, which is 14. But people think I am 19 or 20, as I act and look so. The eleventh of this month I wrote to youEditorial Note: This letter is not extant., and we got a letter from Mr. Frye, saying you did not take any patients, and directed us somewhere else, but he did not know I had written beforeEditorial Note: See 493.55.013., and you told me to write again. I feel Mrs. Eddy, that you could cure me, and we are all anxious you should take the case. My folks are willing that I should come to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts, if it would be any better. I do hope I shall hear from you soon.

Very Respectfully Yours,
Bertha M. Hoyt,
