The books “Science and Health,”Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. &. “Science of Man,” arrived safely. The more I read your wonderful works the greater is my desire to acquire this beautiful ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science. I trust however that I am not becoming an annoyance to you. but trust you will bear with me a little longer. I think I can make arrangements to go to Boston and attend your classEditorial Note: Class at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, sometime during this winter, provided you will hold good the offer you made when in your house in Boston, viz: to give me tuition free. Had I the moneyAs Written:mony, Mrs. Eddy, I would shrink from asking such a favor. but I have not, it will take all that I can possibly raise to defray my expenses there and back. But I will say this, that I think when I learn to treat patients I can get all I can do here, and then can realize some moneyAs Written:mony, of which I could return to you. It is utterly impossible to procure two students here as you suggest. I have a friend possessed of a superior & beautiful mind, who is very anxious to go with me, but she is poor, and has not the money to pay her tuition.
Please tell me what I shall, or can, do, also the months (and time in the month) during the winter that your class is in session. I enclose stamp for reply, have frankly written you my situation, and shall anxiously look & hope for a reply giving me encouragement that I can soon learn that which I so much desire and yearn for. If you have a class the latter part of next month I do not know but it would be possible for me to get away then. Please write me, and Oh! do not refuse me.
