My Dear Teacher.

After considerable running around I found the gentleman that has the letting of Chickering Hall their regular price is $25Editorial Note: $25.00 in 1885 is the equivalent of $666.70 in 2020. for afternoon and $50Editorial Note: $50.00 in 1885 is the equivalent of $1,333.39 in 2020. for evening. I told him we should want it from Sept 1st to July 1st he decided after consulting with the owners to let us have it for $20Editorial Note: $20.00 in 1885 is the equivalent of $533.36 in 2020. a Sabbeth for afternoon Service and has given me the refusal until I report to him

There are other parties who are after it. It is a very nice Hall with a seating capacity of 600. The only out about it is it is a dark Hall but well ventilated he says and lit with the Electric As Written: Elictric incandescent light which prevents it from being hot. he has promised to make it pleasant for us and we are to have the use of a Piano if we desire. I am at your service in regard to the matter and will wait for further instructions from you;

I had a pleasant time at Nantuskett Wednesday night spoke to some As Written: som 35 or 40 people in one of the Cottages they were Ladies from the West many of them and were intensely interested in the subject and especially in you as I confined my remarks largely about you and how God had led you. they came to me after the meeting was over and thanked me personally for the help they had received spiritually; and expressed a strong desire to see you.

My Dear teacher I have a request to make to you which you may at first perhaps think you cannot comply with but I am very anxious you should; it is this I want you to come out to my house in Dorchester and take tea with me and my family and spend the evening for I want to talk with you about the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science and make As Written: mak some plans for the future. you can suit convenience; any time next week or week after; I will call for you and return with you. please don’t As Written: dont say no
