Editorial Note: Childs thanks Mary Baker Eddy for the copy of The Christian Science Journal she has sent him. He has been studying her books, and even though at present he is
only catching glimpses of the truth they contain, he recognizes that this truth will
have profound meaning for humanity in the future. He hopes to study with Eddy at the
Massachusetts Metaphysical College at some point, as he is hungry to learn more of Christian Science. (Childs was in
Eddy's class that began on February 25, 1884.)
