About two weeks ago I wroteEditorial Note: See 350.47.002. to Mrs M. B. G. Eddy in regard to "Science and HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy which I had hurriedly read while it was loaned to me and among other things in her answerEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. she advised me and my wife if not well to put ourselves under treatment of one of her students. My wife so far has not had time to investigate but I am convinced that the Principle is right and the law must be right if properly applied

We have both been under the treatment of Dr R.C. Flower of BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts since February 1st He has been very kind to both of us and has done us much good but I find that as soon as I lean off treatment I begin to get worse - while I depend on it. My wife is yet far from well she has a long standing case of painful menstruation and throat, catarrh, stomach and other troubles, but she suffers now but little sore with the first mentioned. She is just about reaching her 22nd birthdayAs Written:birth day but has been weakly since childhood yet full of energy and cheer.

I had a series combination of disease when I went to see Dr Flower. Catarrh, Bronchial, Stomach, Liver, Kidneys and Nerves and I was useless Comparatively speaking I amAs Written:Iam well but not absolutely so, I am thin weighing only 122 ½ lbs I am 26 yearsAs Written:yrs of age and very energetic. I know nothing of your practice save what I haveAs Written:Ihave learned from the “Christian Science Journal” How what will you charge us to treat us and cure? Mrs Eddy has kindly offered me tuition as a minister but financially at present I am unable to go to Boston but hope in a year's time by the will of the Infinite FatherEditorial Note: God to be ready to prepare myselfAs Written:my self for granderAs Written:forgrander usefulness in the ministry. The world is ripe for a religious and scientific reformation They are crying for light. It is my prayer to be one among you to go forth and preach the gospel in its original power.
