Mrs Eddy–
Dear Teacher-

Your very kind letterEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. received- My Husband and I were both glad to hear from you- he is trying to do what he can in ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science he has had but a very little to do but has had some good demonstration in that- his Friends and he has a good many- have not seemed to think of him and have not as they all said they would sent him any Patients–

Mrs Day has been and is meeting with wonderful success in FreeportEditorial Note: Freeport, Illinois but is intending to leave there and come home- Mr Day has just about as much Business as my Husband does and that is hardly any- but I am not at all disheartened I know that I have got him started in the right direction and I know that he can heal when he gets a chance- I can earn enough for both of us until he can help- so we have nothing to worry about in that line- I do not think I will send for a Charter quite yet as I have so few Students in Chicago- I have not taught a very great many and they are so scattered that they could not come to any meetings- I prefer to have a few and have good ones although that may not be the right way to look at it- It seems to me that some of my Students can heal better than I can- I have one who has only been practicing two months and she is doing so well that it sent the Congregationalist minister in to see me he bought the BooksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and wants to study as soon as I am ready to Teach him I recommended As Written: reccommended him to you I do not want to teach any Ministers and I hope that you will take him his name is Moore- of Downers Grove- IllinoisAs Written:Ill- Mrs Plunkett & Mrs Hopkins are still at the Sherman House and they are advertising largely As Written: largly I hear that they say that they are qualified to teach– by you– I meant to have had the BooksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy sent Cash On DeliveryAs Written:C.O.D. but no bill came with them. enclosed you will find $30.00Editorial Note: $30.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $934.01 in 2022. draft for them if this is not correct I will make it so– I always prefer to have them sent Cash On DeliveryAs Written:C.O.D.
