I am glad to tell you that my Business is much improved and I have sold three sets As Written: setts of BooksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy today - but still I have to work very hard indeed to keep afloat and I suppose I may conclude that I always shall be obliged to work hard but if I see results I am perfectly willing to As Written: too -

I am trying to get my Friend Mrs BellEditorial Note: Possibly M. Bettie Bell to come to you. I may possibly get her to go in Oct

I am doing my very best but all the obstacle lies in her HusbandEditorial Note: Possibly James Hamilton Bell and I think two thirds of that is Mal. Mes.

My student Mrs DayEditorial Note: Possibly Orrilla W. Day is practicing in Fremont NebraskaAs Written:Neb with very good success I hear I hope that she will continue to succeed for if she does find her Business continue lucrative she will no doubt feel able to come to you by Winter or Spring -

I have pledged four dollarsEditorial Note: $4.00 in 1885 is the equivalent of $106.67 in 2020. per month As Written: months to the Journal and have got some names that I shall send in a day or two to Mrs Crosse - Mrs Lathrop is very shallow and is not a Student that I am proud of - but she seems a nice kind hearted Lady but no doubt you can turn her out a good Student - with much Love to you I will close my letter -
