It is not a personal letter, but for the good of the CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science.

Mama and I fully intended coming to you last September, but business was such that it was impossible – so we studied with Dr. Bradford Sherman in Chicago. My mother was cured of blindness and lameness, so we were very much interested in the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science. After we studied we came home to Denver and commenced work. We have made some remarkable cures to the public, Dr. Sherman is now here and he has [?] Unclear or illegible  class of fifty students. There are so many people who wish to study. and there are two or three in the City who advertise to teach. They are not Christian Scientists and I fear that if someone As Written: some one does not take this Class who wish to work, that they will study with these people who are in the Wrong. I feel it my duty to tell you. Is there the least prospect of your coming here? if so please tell me how many you will require. We have daily applications to teach. I think it is not right to give instructions until we have gone through your Normal Class? anyway As Written: any-way but you know there are those who care very little about the general good of the CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science and they will teach. Denver is certainly taken by storm, and we have done our best to keep everything As Written: Every thing out of the papers.

What you advise us to do we will do cheerfully. Our family are so well known that people will to a great degree follow our advice As Written: advise - but they wish to study and will not be put off long. Dr. Sherman cannot take another Class, and as I said before, we are besieged by applications to teach. I do so hope you can come to Denver. it is quite a pretty place. and has nearly 100,000. inhabitants. Western people are very enthusiastic and they never skim over the top. but they are determined to know about things and if there is any good they wish it. We treated a man who had been on crutches for 14 years and he now walks very well with no crutches. he was known by everyone As Written: every one and that seemed to make them think. Mama was treated by Roger Sherman in Chicago – Mrs. C. L. Hall,

May the bright New Year bring you many blessings is your Little Western Advisor’s wish.

Mrs. Eddy please do not think I intend taking up your time for I do not wish to. I know how precious it is
