Dear & Honored Teacher,

Mrs Woodbury wants me for something in BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday. I shall then have to consult you on sensible phenomena. Are they not all the product of the human mind, a series and congeries of mortal thoughts? That is the way I conceive them, and the way I suppose you conceive them. Am I correct? You might answer this by card in a single word, yes or no. Then I should not have to trouble you, and I want to settle this point before Sunday.

Most Gratefully
Yours in Truth
Wm I Gill
