Accession: 145.23.006
Editorial Title: James Monroe Letts to Asa Gilbert Eddy, October 26, 1876
Author: James Monroe Letts
Recipient: Asa Gilbert Eddy
Date: October 26, 1876
Manuscript Description: Handwritten by James Monroe Letts on lined paper.
Editorial Note: Letts says he has not heard lately from either Asa Gilbert Eddy or Mary Baker Eddy. He is interested in possibly being in Mary Baker Eddy's next class. He says that Mary Baker Eddy refused to relieve his ear and that as far as he knows, Jesus never refused anyone who turned to him for help. But, he also says that now he thinks she was probably right to refuse him. He tells of experiences he's been having lately and wonders whether they relate to Christian Science or are a form of mediumship. He says that he often knows what people are thinking and can reply to questions they were going to ask before they ask them. He also says that he finds himself aware of knowledge that he has never read about or studied.
