Detroit people seem interested to understand the scienceEditorial Note: Christian Science before trying it much, and I am circulating pamphlets and the circulars printed by A. B. Doran of Worcester MassachusettsAs Written:Mass. In talking off and trying to explain the truths of Christian Science I deeply feel the need of more light and higher instruction and although As Written: altho pecuniarily As Written: pecuniarialy it is quite an effort to come to BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts yet I feel it will be much better in every other way to come as soon as you can instruct me in the normal course, will it be possible for me to enter by paying one half the tuition on entering and the balance As Written: ballance the first of January also are the terms $200Editorial Note: $200.00 in 1885 is the equivalent of $5,333.57 in 2020.. and how long a time would I be obliged to remain in Boston?

I have six patients who are not paying a penny for treatment, all of them have beliefs of fears standing, and have “suffered many things of many physicians”Mark 5:25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, Mark 5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. Mark 5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? Mark 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? Mark 5:32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. Mark 5:33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. and think they have no money to spend in this treatment but I am a willing worker and have faith, by this truth to destroy the errors of their beliefs. I do not think there is an authorized teacher in the state and there is certainly great need. I have recently treated two cases of diphtheria successfully. The interest is slowly, steadily increasing.

Hoping to hear from you soon, I am yours sincerely in the truth.
