M. (Moses) Emory Wright (1828-1909) was born in Leicester, Vermont, and
died in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He was a Methodist Episcopal pastor who served for
fifty-four years in many towns in New England. At the time he wrote his letter of
February 8, 1884, (see 650.68.014), he was the pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church
in Roslindale, Massachusetts.
